With a flash of blue mana the mighty mage Squire Jacen Ciel Vonkirathelle, of the mighty ravens teleported into the center of the town. The area was unknown to him and as such he seached the streets for a familiar face. "Hm.....Clearly I have stumbled upon another town I've not yet traveled to," he spoke, shaking his head, turned down almost in disappointment. It was true that he often traveled the universe, not often actually caring about the distance, but as usual he'd arrived here upon strange circumstances. he'd meant to, of course, teleport off to the top of the mighty gate surounding his own lands, but somehow his spell had gone awry as usual, sending him to this strange land. He wasn't actually upset about it as it allowed him to take inventory of a new group of peaople, offer them the kindness of teachings in the way and power of the arcane arts, which were of course far more powerful then anything they could ever understand, but it was unfortunate as he once again was stuck in a strange place.
"Come all ye to learn from the master the powers that the great arcane might teach to you!" He spoke, his voice billowing through the streets to call out to any that might be interested. Naturally it didn't actually matter if they wanted to learn or not. For him it was expected that all who failed to learn the power the arcanus had must then learn it. Lesser endeavors were against his beliefs. At his side the solid black rectangualar blade known as Jin set, poised and ready to strike against any who would challenge his prowess and with it came the power of the twins to protect him.

"Well met again my friend, still not finding your way home I see?" Came chuckling a familiar voice from one end of the square, a red-haired elf of flashy dress and bravado. Cocking his hat to the side, greatsword across his back and various other blades strapped to him, he warmly welcomed the wizard to the city. Bowing, he asked "What may bring you here about these humble neck of the woods?"

"Ah good morrow once more! Nice to see you in the lands of crystal groves....I think? This.....IS crystal groves correct? " he paused for barely a moment, more to pause breath then to actually allow the elf to respond and then finally, running a hand through his long royal blue hair continued once more. "I traveled here with a purpose this time I assure you, this was not another blunder of spells, though it is understandable that such would happen considering the immense power the arcane holds but still! I have traveled here with great purpose my friend....um.... Where am I?" The statement seemed almost believable despite his speech rushing in the center to fill to many words almost awkwardly into a cadence they had no place in, a cadence that was decisively different then his norm, but if it wasn't obvious before it would be clear he was lying the moment he asked where he was.

Adoven laughed and then answered Jacen's question "Yes you are still in the Kingdom of Crystal Groves. Specifically the Shire of the Locks." Extending an arm outwards in greeting him, he went to ask the wizard "You mentioned you specifically were traveling here? What for?".

"AH! the locks. Good good. Yes I've been meaning to venture into the shires of the kingdom, take inventory of their people and situation, see the land, the standard things. Perhaps you can introduce me to those of power in here that I might gain more knowledge into this particular land hm? But first I feel an ale is of desperate need. " He felt for once that he'd covered up his own ignorance flawlessly, which wasn't to say that his words weren't betrayed clearly by the awkward look in his eyes, which they were, but more so suggested that he hadn't yet realize it yet. It was always a good day when he felt comfortable in covering up the truth, he thought to himself. It made him feel powerful, like the will of the arcane defended his absentmindedness fromt he world to allow him to be the becon of strength the twisting nether required of him. Roughly, and perhaps a little too much so, he clapped his arm against the other man's, not sure if he was suggesting a gentlemanly hand shake or the rugged meeting of forarms used by the less civilized but encouraging a more jaunty greeting all the same, and wrapped his hand around the elf's arm just below the elbow in a hearty greeting.

Shaken a little but smiling, the elf guided him to the White Stag Inn. "Come then! I have good news to tell you of, and perhaps you may learn a few more things while you visit." He told the wizard. "Actually I have come across a slight stretch of a problem before you've come here. I wonder that you possibly would be interested in such an affair?" He asked directly.

He followed the elf who for the life of him he couldn't actually remember getting the name of, and as they talked he walked in quiet contemplation, keeping his focus on each step. He could feel the earth below him, a catalyst holding the essence of mana itself and from it he drew power. The energy flowed into his body sending goosebumps down his back . This land seemed fertile and powerful in arcane potential. "Yes yes I do enjoy good news. Please continue. " he paused for a moment before responding to the second comment, "if there is a task needing my help I will gladly offer it my friend, trust that."

Leading the wizard inside, he gestured to a barmaiden for two drinks, casually flirting with her on something about how her hair flowed nicely that day. Drawing up a chair he motioned for the arcanist to take a seat. "Well, where to begin? Recently there have been some advances to colonize and further spread out to accrue more resources. On an expedition of the same kind a team came into contact with a sylvan hunting party." He took a sip of his drink when it arrived, pausing until the barmaiden was out of earshot.

His gaze sat just below the center of andoven's forehead as the man spoke, Jacen taking in the words quickly to allow the to process so he could quickly find a solution. When he paused confusion filled the mage's face. He almost began to speak before he realized the subtly glance to ensure the bar maiden was getting out of reach and understood, allowing him his pause unquestioningly, "sylvan mmhmmm"

"Well, things didn't go... Exactly as planned. We may have sylvan invaders with the potential to overrun us and enslave us. We may request allies to help us in this venture. They haven't taken action against us as of yet, but in the coming weeks they may." The elf further explained, kicking back. "As I have not any coin to offer now, we can discuss details and profit if an opportunity does present itself. I can promise however that the Locks would appreciate an ally such as yourself to help." The elf paused after a while. "So what do you say?" He then again said, extending his arm towards him.

"Rediculous!" He spoke excitedly, cutting him off before the final statement. "I need no coin. My assistance is offered freely so no need to worry. Please tell me what I can do to help or who I might need to speak to"

Startled and surprised, the elf gave a quick smirk. "Come out to help us in the following weeks and you'll see interesting negotiations and opportunities for you to show off your skill with knowledge of the arcane. And if things get ugly, there's always a battle to be fought." He told him, shaking his arm firmly.

The gesture was returned with gusto if course and as they shook hands haven simply nodded, "this is the way I follow my friend, this is the way taught by junsei kaien. May I ever be a conduit for her will."
