"Thank you." He chuckled, giving the sword a light swing. Adoven lightly turned red and brushed it off. "'Twas nothing." He muttered.

Fianna laughed at the two males who were suddenly shy in her office. How odd were the elvish and how odd were children?
"Again, thank you for your service boy. Run along to your other duties; but first tell me what your name is so I know to ask for you in the future. Your service is so prompt it is no wonder that you were asked to stay in the keep as a messenger."
Turning read from ear tips to nose the boy bowed to her very low. "Pryderi, ma'm. It's what I'm called." Before Fianna could detain him any longer the boy fled through the open doors and his quick feet could be heard as he raced down the hall onto whatever duty waited for him next.
Laughing again at the boy's shyness, for when he had been delivering messages he had been so confident, Fianna turned back to Adoven. "And what do you make of that my friend? One little action has set a chain of events off for that boy and has made him a person of importance within the Keep. How wonderfully small our lives are when we take a grander picture of things."

"I suppose so in the grand scheme of things. I just wish it were easier to tell apart and to know what will be going on." He sighed, raising an eyebrow out of reflex and habit.

"Oh it isn't so hard. When you do things with good intentions, usually good things will come of it even if you know nothing about it. Of course this is not always true. Now, I am going to see Ainvar about this invasion. I feel that everyone should be on alert again. I doubt the Locks will ever know true peace, even if we try to celebrate it."

"Agreed. I myself will prepare for battle, and rally my brothers-in-arms that are here." He told her, sheathing his sword across his back. "Regent Fianna." He said with a curt bow, and walked out the chambers.

Fianna watched her friend go and then shook her head. How strange the world was, and how fragile. She had other business to attend though.
